It will commence with a reception on the evening of May 8, 2008, and will continue with interactive sessions on May 9, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Lodging and Reservations
We have arranged for a reduced rate for rooms at the Holiday Inn Capitol. You are responsible for your own lodging expenses, but will receive a reduced rate of $239.00 plus tax if you say you are with the SIFEPP conference when making your reservation. You must make your reservation by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on April 15, 2008, to receive the reduced lodging rate. Call the Holiday Inn at 202-479-4000 and reference the three letter code "WWE" for the SIFEPP conference rate.
Meeting Materials and Meals
The States Impact on Federal Education Policy Project (SIFEPP) will provide all meeting materials for the conference.
You will be our guest at the reception on Thursday, May 8, and at breakfast and lunch on Friday, May 9.
Transportation
Please check the meeting schedule for the conference start and end times before you plan your travel. We strongly urge participants to make their travel arrangements as soon as possible. SIFEPP is not responsible for any transportation charges incurred by participants.
Air: The closest airport is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, which is a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
Shuttle:
SuperShuttle provides a shared ride service to and from the airport. One-way
fare between the hotel and Reagan National Airport is about $10. For more

Taxi:
A one-way fare taxi service between the hotel and the airport is about $15.
Subway (Metro):
The Washington, D.C., subway system is an inexpensive, safe, and speedy way
to get around the city. One-way fare between the hotel and Reagan National
Airport is $3.00 during rush hour (less during non-rush hour times). Get on
the Metro Yellow line at the airport and follow it to L'Efant Plaza.

Temperatures in Washington, D.C., in May average daytime highs in the lower 70s and evening lows in the 50s.
